Q: HOW CAN THOSE BE YOUR PRICES?

A:  We create and craft our own designs from only the best materials and components.  Now you can buy an entire eyewear wardrobe, 3 frames with Rx, with excellent quality & design for less than the cost of a single brand name frame. We have made it simpler to get you what you want, when you want it, and all under a hundred bucks.

 

Q: DO YOU OFFER BIFOCAL OR PROGRESSIVE LENSES?

A:  As a licensed and board certified optometric business we fill prescriptions for bifocal, progressive, single vision, and reading glasses. Please contact us so we can review the process with you.

 

Q: CAN YOU SHIP OUTSIDE OF THE US?

A: We can currently fill prescriptions and ship orders within the United States and Canada.

 

Q: WHAT MATERIALS ARE USED TO MANUFACTURE YOUR FRAMES?

A: We use acetate and chose it because we love it. We are offering our frames custom crafted from the best quality available, and it shows. Hold them up to the light and see the amazing colors! Our collection is extremely light and comfortable, but aggressively styled.

 

Q: CAN I TRY BEFORE I BUY?

A: We currently have 6 outpost stores within Urban Outfitters in NYC, NJ & Long Island. We encourage our customers to visit us and take advantage of the knowledge and guidance of our experienced stylist and opticians. Find a store near you by reviewing our locations page.

 

Q: WHEN WILL MY GLASSES TO ARRIVE?

A: Typically within five business days, but, more complicated prescriptions will demand extra time. Once we have received your order, you will then be notified by email. In similar fashion, once your order has been shipped, a second notification will be sent to you. Depending on your prescription, you could have your glasses the next day for an extra charge. Information regarding our rush delivery service is available in the checkout section of our website.

 

Q: HOW MUCH WILL THE DELIVERY COST ME?

A: Ground delivery is FREE with orders over $95, within the continental US.  If you would like your order sooner Express shipping is available at checkout. Keep in mind while we put our rush orders to the front of the line, any Express shipping time lines only apply after the glasses have been finished. If you need to have your glasses by a certain date please call us so that we can meet your deadline.

 

Q: WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

A: Each pair of Tortoise & Blonde glasses are made unique for every guest. By taking measurements, verifying prescriptions & fitting the frame to your face we are confident you will be satisfied with your purchase.

We offer a 30 day return policy.

Refunds are subject to a restocking fee of 25%. Any errors caused by T&B will be corrected and shipped or delivered to you at no additional charge.

We allow one exchange per pair of eyeglasses within the first 30 days of receiving your order.  If you require new lenses, there will be a restocking fee of 10% of the initial total order. The frames must be in the original condition, undamaged and with no signs of wear. 

Lens scratches fall under the 6-month, 1-year, or lifetime warranty of the coating purchased.

All of our frames hold a 1-year warranty against manufacturers defect. 

 

Q: HOW CAN I RETURN MY ORDER

A: We accept returns up to 30 days from day your receive your purchase. To begin processing your return contact us via phone or email. All Rx returns need to be shipped prepaid, insured and with a tracking number, we recommend using UPS.  Unfortunately Flash Sale, Sale, and closeout items are not returnable due to their already low pricing.

 

Q: CAN I USE A FLEXIBLE SPENDING ACCOUNT OR HEALTH SAVINGS ACCOUNT TO BUY GLASSES?

A: Yes!  Tortoise & Blonde is an approved prescription eyewear vendor for Flexible Spending and Health Savings accounts.  You can purchase your glasses by using a major credit card that is associated with a FSA or HSA account.  Or you may purchase your glasses using a unaffiliated credit card and submit our order confirmation email as a receipt for reimbursement.

 

Q: DO YOU ACCEPT INSURANCE?

A: We don’t accept insurance directly, but many insurance companies will accept receipts from providers outside their network for partial reimbursement. Your order confirmation email should suffice as a receipt. Please note that we sell our glasses as a package so the order confirmation summary will not show the price for lenses and frames separately.
